Syble Melton Bagur DeLoach

Syble Melton Bagur DeLoach joined her Holy Father in Heaven in September 27, 2023. Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on October 5, 2023 at the Melton Cemetery near Winnfield, Louisiana. Tammy Melton Harrell (niece), Dr. Martin Morris (son-in-law) and Dr. Chad Morris (grandson) will be officiating.

Syble was born to Luther H. Melton and Tennie McDaniel Melton on December 19, 1923. She graduated from Winnfield High School and Monroe Commercial School. She proudly served our country as a yeoman in US Navy in WWII.

Syble married Warren A. Bagur, of New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1944. They had two beautiful children together, Albert W. Bagur, of Rockwall, Texas, and Barbara B. Morris, of Zachary, Louisiana. Warren passed away in 1993. Five years later, in 1998, Syble married Thomas H. DeLoach, of Winnfield, Louisiana. They resided in Henderson, Texas until his death 2016.

Syble is survived by her children, Al and wife, Beverly G. Bagur and Barbara and husband, Dr. Martin Morris; her brother, Leonard Melton; her grandchildren, Michele Pakulski and husband, Jakub, Dr. Chad Morris and wife, Ashley, Regan Foster and husband, Sterling, Lauren Jackson and husband, Cody; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Aaron Melton, Carolyn Melton, Ernest Melton and James Melton; and her sister-in-laws, Angie Melton, Patsy Melton and Grace Melton.

Syble was honored to have many wonderful friends in Henderson, Texas. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church, Varied Arts Club, Women’s Forum and the Recreation Board of Rusk County. She also enjoyed Mary Schumoore’s exercise class, “Move for Life” for 25 years.

death by her husband, Kenneth Thompson; parents, Lenard and Lucil Vines; sisters, Hazel Liles and Sybil Griffin and brothers, David, Loyd and Edward Vines.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gregory and Justin Brooks; daughter, Tabitha Procell; grandson, Lucas Brooks; her sister, Brenda Brown; brothers, Alvin and Phillip Vines; sisters in law, Virginia and Teri Vines and a host of nieces and nephews.
