John Paul Luther

Mr. John Paul Luther, of Maybank, Texas passed from this life in the early hours of Sunday, January 14, 2024. John P. as he as known to many, was born in Jonesboro, Louisiana on April l2, 1957 to Alfred D Luther and Clara V Luther of Winnfield.

He married Judy Blake on March 14, 1981. In Oct. 1989 the couple relocated to Mabank, Texas where they resided until his death.

He was an avid reader, liked to work on vehicles and collected various glass decanturs.

J P is survived by his wife Judy, sons Charles “Chuck” Luther of Baton Rouge, LA, James Robert Luther and wife Kristin of Mabank, TX, Travis N Luther of Arlington, TX and daughter Michelle Dyer of Witchita, Kansas, brothers Travis A Luther and wife Paula of Pollock, LA and Dennis Luther and wife Cyndy of Arlington, TX and sisters Elaine Nugent and husband Charles of Georgetown, LA and Linda Carreno of Pollock, LA, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred D Luther and Clara V Luther, brothers Ray Luther and Wayne Luther, stepdaughter Lori A Morris and brother in law Bobby Castle.

A graveside memorial will be in the Corinth Cemetery, Jordan Hill, LA on Saturday, March 16th at 3:00 pm.
